It was a sun-showery Saturday morning when we met up with Clara & Bill for their maternity session. They are expecting their first baby in a few weeks and you could just feel the excitement and anticipation in the air!
After doing some shots at their home and in the new nursery (which I love, love, loved!), we ventured out for some shots in the rain. Despite the weather, the sunlight was just beautiful and we couldn’t have asked for more!
Meet Miss Delilah-Mittens, our cat. (Or, as we affectionately call her, our “fur baby”!)
Delilah likes to walk in front of the computer while we edit photos, pull down backdrops after we hang them up, lay on our photo props, and pose for us when we’re taking test shots. I guess you could say that she grew up around photography and she’s certainly not intimidated by it.
So I thought that we would give Delilah her very own photo shoot.
As we alluded to in our previous post, Adam and I had a wondeful vacation to Turkey and Egypt.
Despite the blazing heat (+45 degrees Celcius!), we had an amazing time. The pyramids and ancient temples just took our breath away. There definitely was a culture-shock factor, but it was a very pleasant one. The people were friendly and we had fun learning about the different cultures and even picking up some Arabic. In fact, I was able to carry on a 3 sentence exchange with a vendor in the bazaar entirely in Arabic! (Oh yeah! I rock!)

After just returning to Edmonton from our Turkish/Egyptian vacation, Adam and I were both eager to get back to work photographing… well, people and families!
The Yee family were just wonderful to work with and their two daughters loved being in front of the camera. They had us in stiches with their silly antics and also tugged at our heartstrings with their genuine love and affection for each other. All in all, it was a great day!
