Hello
We are currently in the process of moving our blog onto our own site. We will be adding our old posts to this blog before adding any new posts. Sorry for the delay.

Emilie Faucher came to us for updated headshots for her wedding planning business Flawless Expressions and these are a couple of those photos.

After a recent portrait session, we invited Ailish and Quinn over to take photos for Ailish’s 6th birthday. You might remember Ailish and Quinn from their pictures at the Pumpkin Patch a few months ago or from their older photos that we blogged last year.
The girls ran the entire photo shoot – they chose their backdrops, props, and costumes – and they had a great time doing it!

Christina and I went with our nieces and nephew to Cafe O’Play a little while ago and I was able to take a few shots. If you’ve never been to Cafe O’Play, it’s a great place for parents (or uncles and aunts!) to go where they can sit down with a coffee and just let the kids do their thing.
While I was primarily there as an uncle and not a photographer, I couldn’t help but snap a few kid pictures: You might even remember Liam from his newborn pictures. As you can see he is really growing up.

Christina (aka: “wife”) recently started her own Wedding Planning company, Sweet Bliss Weddings. Being the supportive husband that I am, I offered to do some headshots for her. Since the price was right (dinner), she agreed!
Here are couple of the shots that she will be using for promotional purposes:

The shoot started out serious, but then “Blue Steel Wedding Planner” happened…

Followed by “Sad Wedding Planner”…

And lastly, “Happy Wedding Planner” (aka: “Jazz Hands Wedding Planner”).

As you may recall from our previous blog post, we have been re-vamping our website.
Our first attempt at a website wasn’t bad, but we felt very limited as to what we could do and it just wasn’t everything that we had in mind. We finally just decided (or rather I decided), that there was no easy way to get what we wanted. We would just have to learn how to make a website from scratch!
Adam spent many nights at the computer, building our new website and learning how to add all the little bells and whistles that we wanted. And after a couple of months of daily work, here’s what it looks like now:
I have to give Adam all the credit on this one!! (I’m such a lucky girl!) This is the website that we had envisioned from the beginning and we are so happy that it’s now there, on the internet, for all to see.
Please go ahead and check out the new website. We are currently taking photo bookings for spring/summer of 2011; so if you’re thinking about family photos, or portraits or you know of someone with a wedding coming up, drop us a line! As always, we would love to hear from you!

Meet Julie. She is a swing dancer and swing dance instructor with Sugar Swing Dance Club (http://www.sugarswing.com) here in Edmonton. Julie came by wanting some headshots and photos for promotional purposes.
This shoot was so much fun! We were able to use a lot of antiques we had in the house – including Adam’s Papa’s old footlockers that he had during the war – and a vintage typewriter (that weighed a gazillion pounds!) I also had fun editing the photos and getting creative with some of the shots.
I hope you love them as much as we do!

Adam and I are currently in the process of revamping our website (which we seem to do every winter since we always come up with things we want changed!) So there were our usual “husband-wife business meetings”…and our usual disagreements (all creative of course!)
While I was tinkering around with our logo and various other graphics, I got completely sidetracked on the internet. I began to download fonts – yup, you heard me – FONTS! And I couldn’t stop! I am addicted and simply cannot get enough.
So, to make use of my newly downloaded treasures, I decided to make a Valentine’s-themed wall print. Here is is:
Feel free to let me know what you think. I personally love it (although I could be a little biased) and already have plans to print it out and frame it somewhere. I can’t wait to start designing some new products for Crowe Photo!

Christmas is a time for family. And, while everyone is all together, it’s a great opportunity to take family portraits!
Here are some of our shots from the Schauerte family’s photo shoot which includes four generations.

Christmas is fast approaching and we’ve got the holiday spirit! Presents are all bought, Christmas carols have been downloaded, and Christina has already watched “A Charlie Brown Christmas” …three times.
Looking back at 2010, Crowe Photo has had a wonderful year. The “Rock the Dress for Breast Cancer” event was a success and we also contributed a couple of photo packages to the United Way and Rio Terrace Preschool Silent Auctions. We have made some wonderful new clients, and have seen other clients’ families grow.
We are so thankful for all of the love and support that everyone has given us this past year. We are truly blessed to have such amazing friends and clients!!!
